Vin on Rose is a specialty wine shop in Los Angeles, CA that focuses on providing natural wines to the Southern California area, as well as operating an exclusive wine club for hand-picked selections by wine experts.


When Vin on Rose originally approached Adroitable, they were hosting a small, static site through Wix (a website builder) – which did not provide the level of customization or flexibility they were looking for. In addition to this, there were pains around being able to log in to the back-end of the site, running reports about sales and distribution, managing user roles, collecting analytics data, as well as consolidating news, pages, store inventory, and POS integration.

We immediately got to work building out a completely custom, ground-up online store for Vin on Rose – complete with wireframing, design concepts, and ordering workflows. By the end of our first phase, the site framework and backbone had been built.

We then started working through a seamless transition between the existing site and the new site. We stood up a new server, reconfigured the domain, configured end-to-end encryption, and pointed all the traffic to the new, secure, and rebuilt site.

After the new site was live, we created various users for different roles. Vin on Rose had content collaborators that wanted to manage the product media themselves, and our CMS integration allowed them to do this at a rapid pace. Before long, the entire shop had been filled and online orders were ready for pickup at the store.

In our second phase we focused on implementing a seamless API for integration with their POS systems and online payment portals. It was important that as online orders were processed, these orders also passed through the on-site registers and systems to keep things balanced. Once the POS integration was complete, customers were not only able to place online orders – but also pay for them online and have their sales data transfer directly to the store.

In the end, the result was a completely custom, rebuilt experience for both the store owners and their customers. They could expand and implement new features how they wanted – and no longer have to worry about hitting any ceilings when considering adding further enhancements, more integrations, or more inventory.
